Made from discarded coconut coir, this Vegetable Cleaner also called a Tawashi brush, is fully biodegradable and easy to use. Instead of peeling root vegetables and losing the goodness that sits close to the skin, you can scrub them clean with water and keep more of what you actually want in your food. This tawashi vegetable brush is a simple, nature-friendly swap for plastic cleaners, and it works great for potatoes, carrots, beetroot, and similar veggies.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Description

A tawashi brush is a traditional Japanese cleaning brush made from natural fibers. It is great for scrubbing fruits and vegetables, and it also works well for dishes and everyday cleaning. The bristles are firm enough to remove dirt and debris but gentle enough to use on delicate surfaces, making it an easy eco-friendly swap for plastic sponges and brushes.

Care Instructions

Rinse After Each Use: Run it under warm water as soon as you are done, then use your thumb to push out any tiny bits caught in the bristles.

Air Dry: Give it a quick shake and leave it out in the open, on the rack or hung up, anywhere it can dry properly.

Avoid Prolonged Soaking: Do not leave it sitting in a bowl of water. A rinse is all it needs, soaking is what makes the fibers go weak.

Replace When Worn: When the bristles start looking flat and it feels like it is just sliding around instead of scrubbing, it is time to replace it.
