Fostering Rural Education
Every child deserves quality education irrespective of their socioeconomic status. Tengin supports government schools in Arsikere to achieve this by providing access to educational programs and resources. We recently donated essential supplies to the government school of Kargunda such as notebooks, pencils, erasers, and rulers, giving students the chance to fully engage in their education. We have plans to organize variety of programs in the near future such as English language courses conducted by experts, field trips to science centers, museums and workshops led by professionals to create thriving opportunities for young minds.
Breaking Barriers & Building Skills
Women in villages face multiple barriers to access education – poverty, gender stereotypes, household responsibilities among others. By actively working with local Stri Shakti Sanghas and NGOs, we strive to improve the local economic opportunities for the women. Through initiatives such as literacy and numeracy trainings we aim to empower women to become independent. We also collaborate with NGOs to help organize women health initiatives such as menstrual health awareness programs, helping rural women overcome the challenges they face today and build a brighter future for all.
