Most body brushes are nylon bristles on a plastic handle. Two petroleum products that shed microplastics into your drain every time you use them and sit in landfill for five hundred years after.
This one is different.
The bristles are coconut coir — the tough golden fibre from the husk of the same coconuts that give us our oil, our sugar, our chips. The handle is coconut wood — carved by Basavarajappa in Gollarahalli from trunks of trees that had already given everything they had. Every part of this brush came from the same tree. When it is done, it goes back into the earth.

Rinse After Each Use: Rinse the brush under warm water as soon as you finish, so soap and loose skin do not dry into the coir.
Air Dry: Shake off the extra water and hang it where it gets good airflow. Try not to dry it in direct sun, because the coir can get stiff and brittle.
Avoid Prolonged Soaking: Do not leave the brush sitting in water. The wooden handle can swell over time, and the coir can start to weaken.
Store in a Dry Place: Once the brush is fully dry, keep it in a cool, dry spot so it stays fresh and does not pick up moisture.

Know Your Product (FAQ's)
Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
Coir bristles are firm — start with light pressure 2–3 times a week. Not recommended for eczema, psoriasis, or active breakouts.
Can I use it on my face?
No — body only, from neck down.
The bristles feel very stiff — is that normal?
Yes. New coir is firm. It softens naturally within 2–3 weeks of use.
How long will it last?
6–12 months with proper care and daily use.
What makes this different from store-bought brushes?
Most brushes use nylon on plastic — they shed microplastics. Ours is coconut coir on coconut wood, made by Basavarajappa in Gollarahalli. Fully biodegradable. No plastic anywhere.
